Homes were lost or damaged in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover. A young man lost his life in a horrific accident along with the seriously injured. The rebuilding process will be a long road. It will take a lot of patience. I believe our State and Local governments have a good base plan. The Disaster Relief Fund will be structured to help as many as possible in the swiftest way. This plan will be scrutinized and adjusted as needed.
I have the greatest faith in the non-profits in the Lawrence area to communicate and work with each other so every citizen is taken care of without waste or fraud. We thrive for this.
We thank you for thinking of Heal Lawrence.
Please follow us on Facebook for updates on needs and ways to help.
Columbia Gas has donated $10 Million dollars to the Greater Lawrence Disaster Relief Fund. The Greater Lawrence Disaster Relief Fund will help residents of the three communities with food, housing and other short-term needs as they recover.
Gift cards were distributed and claim centers were opened in each community. Claims were being processed online also.
Ongoing: Columbia Gas teams are now replacing 48 miles of old and compromised gas lines with a new safe system.
They hope to have all this completed by November 19th.
