You Need Renters Insurance TODAY!!!
We have learned the best way to help residents affected by fires is to show them that Renters Insurance is beneficial and affordable. You need it today, not after a fire. Call your Insurance Agent Today!!
- A hotel costs about $250 a night, a one-year Renters Insurance policy could cost around $200.
- This policy should have adequate Temporary Housing coverage. You need enough to cover a hotel stay for 5 to 6 months. Make sure you get coverage for your belongings AND temporary housing. This is the most important part of your policy.
- Ask your agent if you add Renters Insurance to your car policy how much more would it cost? It might lower your monthly payment!
- It will cover Fire, Water Damage and Theft. If a neighbor has a water pipe break it will cover your belongings and temporary housing.
- If you are are burglarized, or if your child's laptop is stolen when they are off to school, you will be covered.
- Ask if your policy will cover you if you are unable to stay in your home for any reason.

In a multi-family building, the Landlord is required to carry an insurance policy for the tenant if they are displaced due to an emergency by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to the amount of $750.
